Dilly Deli: a restaurant site, an online shop and the console behind them

Dilly Deli website on desktop: the great meat escape

What it is

Dilly Deli is a restaurant in Taman Connaught, Cheras, known for Iberico pork ribs and charcoal steak. CodaMinds built three things for it: the restaurant site that is live at mydillydeli.com, an online shop for the same kitchen, and the console the operator uses behind both. The site is live today. The shop and the console are built and not yet switched on. We show it because it is the shape most food businesses ask for: a site that brings people in, a shop that sells what the kitchen makes, and one place to run it all.

What it had to do

  • Tell a first-time visitor what the place is, show the menu and get them to a table, in English and 中文
  • Take a reservation or put a walk-in on the queue without a phone call, and keep WhatsApp one tap away
  • Sell cuts, sides and ready-to-eat boxes online, with the pickup, delivery and shipping rules a food business needs
  • Give the owner and the counter staff one console for orders, products, stock, customers and the numbers
  • Tell the owner about every new order and every refund by email, without anyone watching a screen

What we built

  • The restaurant site in English and 中文: the menu, reservations, the walk-in queue, WhatsApp, directions and the questions guests ask
  • The shop: catalogue, cart and checkout, with customer accounts, saved addresses and order history
  • Three ways to receive an order: pickup at the counter, same-hour delivery with the fee shown before paying, and chilled shipping
  • A daily lunchbox menu that opens each day, closes at a cut-off time and stops at a set capacity
  • Card payments and refunds inside the shop, order emails to customers and an alert to the owner for each new order
  • The console: orders, products and categories, stock, customers, store settings, staff accounts, the day's lunchbox run and reports on sales, customers and stock

What is true today

  • The restaurant site is live, in English and 中文, on the restaurant's own domain
  • Guests book a table, join the walk-in queue or open WhatsApp from the site
  • The shop and the console are built and not yet switched on; the restaurant decides when
  • A "Built by CodaMinds" line sits in the site footer, with the owner's permission

What it means for your business

If you run a restaurant, a food brand or a shop that takes orders by message today, this is the work: a site that gets found and gets people in, a shop with the delivery rules your product needs, and a console your staff can run the day from. One team builds all three, so they fit together and one person answers when something needs changing. We build online shops, websites and the systems behind them for other businesses, with a fixed quote before any work starts.
